January 12, 2013

We were skeptical about visiting Halong Bay in January as many people say this is the worst month in terms of weather especially fog. We opted for a 1 night cruise just in case visibility was poor. Although the weather forecast was not good we thoroughly enjoyed our time and the poorer visibility just added to the experience as the further islands were more like shadows in the distance which made for amazing photographs. If you go in summer I would definitely recommend spending two nights however for a winter activity 1 night was perfect!
